Roof Renovation in Dilbeek

At Dural Bouwgroep, we are proud of our recent roof renovation in Dilbeek. The Pycke family had a clear vision: a complete renovation of the pitched roof with a strong focus on sustainability and aesthetics.

The importance of sustainable materials

One of the key aspects of this project was the choice of materials. We chose Cedral Alterna slates in black for the roofing. These slates are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and resistant to Belgian weather conditions. They are made of fiber cement, a material known for its durability and low environmental impact.

Insulation for energy efficiency

We placed 10cm PIR insulation on the outside. PIR insulation is known for its high thermal performance, which means it helps to keep the heat in the house and the cold out. This contributes to the energy efficiency of the house, which can lead to significant savings on the customer's energy bill.

Adding light and functionality with Velux roof windows

Another important aspect of this project was the installation of several Velux roof windows. These windows are not only functional but also add an element of design and light to the home. They help bring natural light into the house, which can contribute to the well-being of the residents and help reduce energy costs by reducing the need for artificial lighting.

Zinc and sealing works for durability and ease of maintenance

In addition, we carried out zinc and sealing works, such as installing a zinc gutter and downspout, and sealing the box gutter with zinc. Zinc is a durable and low-maintenance material that can extend the life of the roof and help prevent water damage.

Conclusion

At Dural Bouwgroep, we are particularly proud of the result of this project. The roof of the Pycke family's house in Dilbeek is now not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and energy-efficient.
