No roof insulation yet
Is there no form of insulation on your roof yet? Then it is high time to address this. Since 2020, there has been a Flemish roof insulation standard. This standard stipulates that all roofs of homes and rental properties that were connected to the electricity grid before January 1, 2006, must be insulated. This roof insulation standard applies to all independent homes, including studios and apartments. Rooms and roofs smaller than 2 square meters are exempt from this rule. Thoroughly insulating your roof is simply mandatory. If this has not yet been done, it is best to arrange this as soon as possible.
Existing roof insulation
Even when there is already insulation on your roof, it may sometimes be necessary to replace it. Especially over time, insulation material can become damaged, and it is wise to renew it. For example, if you have a slightly older house whose roof has not yet been insulated, it is best to have your roof checked by an expert. They can then determine whether your roof is sufficiently insulated and whether this insulation needs replacement.
During an initial site visit, our advisor will inspect the roof with you. If your roof insulation needs replacement, we will discuss the possibilities in combination with a roof renovation. When your roof has reached a certain age, the chance is quite high that your insulation also needs renewal.
You can also look at the current roof insulation yourself to assess whether it needs replacement. Finally, it is best not to delay roof insulation any longer. It has been mandatory since 2020, and in the long term, it is also a smart investment. By insulating your roof, you will consume less energy. This is not only beneficial for the environment but also for your wallet.
